Ben Koehler, Skowhegan Outdoors Program Coordinator

Ben manages the Skowhegan Outdoors program and leads our team of Outdoor Rec Facilitators. He is from Orono, Maine, where he grew up canoeing and swimming on the Penobscot River. During his time at UMaine Orono studying Mechanical Engineering, he worked summers whitewater guiding on the West Branch of the Penobscot near Millinocket. After graduating Ben traveled west to work two summers teaching whitewater kayaking on the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, spending the winters skiing and working at Alta near Salt Lake City. Ben has also worked as a river boarding guide (swimming down rapids with surf fins and a foam board) in New Zealand before returning to his first love, Maine, and the West Branch of the Penobscot. Ben can often be found snorkeling down the upper Kennebec or hiking in Baxter State Park. He is excited to get the Skowhegan community outside, and can't wait to surf it up on the Skowhegan River Park.

Mitch Buehler, Videographer and SO Basecamp & Gear Library Coordinator

Mitch is originally from Spokane, Washington where he grew up experiencing everything the great PNW outdoors has to offer. Later he would join the US Navy and travel to multiple countries, reigniting his love for all things outdoors before joining Skowhegan Outdoors in June of 2022. Now our basecamp coordinator Mitch handles all gear rental and repairs in basecamp, as well as loves to share his passion for mountain biking with locals through programming with Skowhegan Outdoors. Mitch also has a love for documenting the amazing outdoor experiences offered through Skowhegan Outdoors and Mainstreet Skowhegan, in the form of video production and creation. Greg Hudzina, Outdoor Recreation Facilitator & Program Design

Greg is originally from Connecticut where he began a love of the outdoors through the Boy Scouts and camping regularly with family. After leaving the USAF and working as a mechanic. Greg decided to move to Maine to pursue a life working Outdoors attending the University of Maine Fort Kent for forestry, later graduating from Washington County Community College in Calais, ME with a degree in Outdoor leadership, working in Baxter State Park, and then becoming a Maine guide in whitewater and recreation for many years. For the past 16 years, Greg has lived in Maine and Colorado working as a guide for 13 years.

Mimah Lindquist, Outdoor Recreation Facilitator & Social Media Coordinator

Mimah is from St Paul, Minnesota. Upon meeting a new friend and mentor in 2018, she was introduced to the world of outdoor recreation. She is passionate about sharing her love of the outdoors with others and fostering an appreciation of nature. Her favorite activities include whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Upon completing a B.S. in Business Management and Organizational Leadership, with a global concentration, she worked in sales operations and marketing. She moved to Maine in February 2023 and is excited about the opportunity to explore New England!
