January 7, 2021 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Please pre register for this program here: https://forms.gle/gDGZyTmfJqXyARdE8

Come join us on a Night Sky Tour, we will gather outdoors at Lake George Regional Park East. John Meader of Northern Stars Planetarium will lead us through a tour of the constellations and stars. We will also find and discuss the visible planets, the Milky Way, as well as meteors (shooting stars) and satellites.  John will share a bit of sky-lore storytelling to explore how peoples of the past looked at the sky. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.

As a bonus, if you bring your own binoculars John will finish the evening’s sky exploration by leading the group through a binocular tour of deep sky objects using the “star hopping” method.  Participants may see planets, binary stars, nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies, as well as the Milky Way, up close and personal!

Please dress warm and wear your face mask.
