Round Top Mountain Hike

Join Skowhegan Outdoors for a hike up Round Top Mountain near Rome! This hike features a lovely view after a 1,000 foot climb. The total mileage round trip is approximately 5 miles and could take up to 6 hours to complete, depending on conditions. This program is best suited for intermediate hikers and is rated as moderate to strenuous. Participants should be comfortable being outdoors for long periods of time and hiking up moderate to steep hills.  Skowhegan Outdoors Facilitators will call participants before this program to ensure preparedness. Please arrive at the MSS office 15 minutes early to check in.

Please dress warmly, wear good hiking boots, bring water, snacks, a substantial lunch, and wear a face mask. Feel free to bring along your snowshoes or microspikes as well. You will have the opportunity to request warm clothing, snowshoes, or microspikes ahead of time through our community gear library.
