Outdoor Yoga with School Street Yoga

Begin your day with an outdoor yoga class overlooking the beautiful Lake George! These classes will be led by a group of experienced yoga instructors who will guide you through a flow style class to encourage a balance of flexibility and strength that will partner well with your active summer lifestyle! Feel free to bring your own mat and blocks, but if you do not have these props, MSS has several to loan (please indicate in your pre registration form that you will need to borrow equipment). We sanitize all of our gear after each use. Meet us at Lake George Regional Park to move together under the summer sun. Class begins promptly at 8:30 a.m.. Please show up 15 minutes early to sign in and set up your mat. Pre-register for class here.

Teacher Bio:
Kathleen Leisure Haberstock
Kathleen Leisure Haberstock is RYT 500 hr trained and the owner of School Street Yoga in Waterville. She discovered the healing power of yoga, in 2009, when she dedicated herself to her practice. Drawn to the physical practice at first, she later found the more profound changes occurred over time with a deeper mind/body connection. She became a 200 hr certified teacher through Jaya Yoga Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2012, and recently graduated from her 300 hr training at Kripalu in MA. Her flowing and alignment based classes encourage exploration and self-acceptance coupled with tapas (discipline). She has a deepening interest in pranayama (yogic breathing) techniques and meditation.  

This is a free community event of the Skowhegan AmeriCorps Outdoor Recreation Program (SAORP) of Main Street Skowhegan in collaboration with School Street Yoga and Lake George Regional Park.
