Mindful Towsend Trail Stroll

August 12, 2020 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 am
Free

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” -Lao Tzu

Join our recreation coach, Mara, for a mindful stroll on the Townsend Trail at Lake George Regional Park. We will be intentional about noticing the smaller beauties of the trail by slowing our steps and allowing space to observe what’s around us. Mara will guide you through all five of your senses while we move through this walk. Please pre-register in advance here. If you’d like to learn more about mindful hiking practices, check out this article: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/29/well/mind/how-to-be-mindful-on-a-hike.html

This is a free community event of the Skowhegan AmeriCorps Outdoor Recreation Program (SAORP) of Main Street Skowhegan in collaboration with Lake George Regional Park.
