The second part of our tour series for Earth Week, join Somerset Woods Trustees at Parkman Hill Farm in Solon to learn more about how our management practices at Coburn Woods are impacting your community through the Somerset Woods Share, a firewood bank program.

This event is suitable for those 10 years old and up. Participants should expect to arrive for a quick introduction to Parkman Hill Farm and then a short walk down to the Somerset Woods Share site. We will chat about how the Woods Share operates, how larger management practices done by Somerset Woods tie in, and how we are responding to the confirmed population of EAB (Emerald Ash Borer) in Solon.

Weather allowing, we will also demonstrate a few different ways people can volunteer with the Woods Share! Plan for wet weather: wear appropriate shoes and bring a raincoat with you! If we are able to do some demonstrations, volunteer waivers, gloves, and other PPE will be provided.
