How to Canoe

Join the Skowhegan AmeriCorps Outdoor Recreation (SAORP) coaches for a “back to the basics” lesson on how to canoe. We will discuss parts of the canoe, technique, and play a few games to get you out on the lake and having fun in your canoe! We have a limited number of canoes, so please register in advance. If you fall in love with the sport, you can rent a canoe from SAORP for FREE by filling out this form. ***Due to our COVID-19 social-distancing protocols, we ask that you come with a paddling partner.*** Please pre-register in advance here and indicate your partner in the “additional information” section. We will meet on the green on the East side of Lake George Regional Park.
