Carroll and Lila Ware of Fins & Furs are both Master Maine Guides with a thirty-one year history in the outdoor industry in Maine and beyond. They are excited to bring their navigation expertise to you. \nThis program will be limited to six participants\, 18 and over. Please preregister in advance to reserve your spot. A portion of the clinic will be indoors at the warming hut at Lake George. You will be required to wear a face mask for this part of the clinic and any other time you are within six feet of another participant. DESCRIPTION:Donate your gently used gear to the Skowhegan Outdoors Community Gear Library! The gear library allows area residents to borrow outdoor gear for FREE for up to three days. We are in need of tents\, sleeping bags and pads\, camp cookware\, cross country skis\, boots\, and poles\, microspikes\, winter jackets\, gloves\, hats\, and any other gear you might have kickin’ around! Make Saturday\, November 7\, your one-stop-shop for cleaning out your closet and picking up fresh produce from the Skowhegan Farmers’ Market\, who have generously offered to host us for the day. \nPlease note\, masks are required at all times at the Skowhegan Farmers’ Market. We will be enjoying the crisp air and good conversation all while getting some exercise on this 6 mile\, moderate-advanced\, hike! We will be rewarded with 360 degree views of the Mahoosuc Range at the top. We will meet at the Main Street Skowhegan office at 8 a.m. and caravan to the trail head from there. If it is more convenient for you to meet us at the trailhead\, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements. \nPlease bring your face covering (mask) for the check-in process\, plenty of water and snacks\, as well as warm layers–it will be chilly at the top of this hike. This hike is rated moderate-advanced.  \nIf the road is impassable due to inclement weather\, we will change the location.
