DESCRIPTION:1 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\nLake George Regional Park WEST\nProgram Limit: 15 participants  \nPreregister for the program here: https://forms.gle/D8yY6GFqDadBXUda8 \nJoin Skowhegan Outdoors at Lake George Regional Park\, West to learn how to get involved with a Community Science project. Community Science is how you\, the community\, can help researchers collect data with minimal prior knowledge. This program will introduce the Maine Bird Atlas\, which is an ongoing community science program\, as well as beginner birding tips and tricks. We will then use our new found knowledge to look for and record bird sightings on a lovely 1.5 mile stroll through the woods. This program is perfect for anyone who is interested in birding\, ecology\, and conservation. Birding experience is not required\, beginners and long time birders alike are welcome! \nMore information on the Maine Bird Atlas can be found here: https://www.maine.gov/ifw/fish-wildlife/maine-bird-atlas/index.html  \nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
